TLDetails shows the impedance and SWR (or rho) at both ends of a transmission line and the details of power loss in the line.  Impedance points are shown on a Smith chart and loss components are shown on bar charts.  Includes characteristics for 49 built-in line types.  You can modify these values to see how small changes affect the results or to specify custom lines.  All program inputs may be changed directly or you can use spin buttons to make the changes.  If you are using a moderately fast computer you can hold down a spinner and "watch the movie" on the charts as the results are recomputed.

There is no separate help file but you can see brief tips by hovering your mouse over any of the non-obvious text boxes.  For additional information concerning the K1 and K2 loss coefficients see www.qsl.net/ac6la/bestfit.html.

TLDetails runs as a stand-alone program.  However, it makes use of certain components that are found in all Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, etc.  If you have not installed any MS Office programs (97 or later) you will see an error message when attempting to run TLDetails. TLDetails must be run with a screen size of 800x600 or greater, 640x480 is not supported.
