80 Meter Vertical 1/4 Wave Antenna
One of my current projects is to build a 80 meter 1/4 vertical using some of the junk laying around the basement. Someone gave me some 7/8 Heliax that had been water damaged from one of the repeater sites. So I decide to use it to make a quarter wave vertical since it had no further use as coax. There is plenty of copper in the shield which will make a very nice broad band antenna.
So here are a few pictures of what is the start of a quarter wave antenna for 80 meters. I am still in the adjusting phase and will post the final results and more on the construction.
