Alabama Emergency Traffic Net "S" Preamble 
 
 
Calling all members of the Alabama Emergency Traffic Net “S”. Calling all members of the Alabama Emergency Traffic Net “S”. This is ________(Your Call Sign) located in ________ (Your Location) and I will be your Net Control Station for tonight’s Net. Is there any station with Emergency or Priority Traffic? 
(Pause 5 to 10 seconds)
(Pass Emergency or Priority traffic immediately if any is listed). 
 
The Alabama Emergency Net “S” is part of the Alabama Emergency Net System and is affiliated with the Amateur Radio Public Service. The Alabama Emergency Net “S” meets each Tuesday at 8 PM on these repeaters for the purpose of training its members to be more proficient in handling traffic during a real Emergency. 
(Pause - Allow the repeaters to drop a few seconds) 
 
We hope you will join us in our efforts to be a service to our communities. We use the Marshall County Amateur Repeater System of linked repeaters and remind you that the system needs a few seconds between transmissions to allow all the links to drop and outlying stations to break in. Also please wait a few seconds after you key up, before you speak, to allow the system to re-link so everyone can copy all of you transmission. 
(Pause - Allow the repeaters to drop a few seconds) 
 
This is a Directed Net, with the role called by station prefix.  A stand-by will be taken after roll call for stations not called or acknowledged. This Net may be interrupted at any time for emergencies or priority traffic. If you need to break in give your call sign, and tell us what you need. We will suspend the Net until you tell us you are clear. Do we have any additional repeaters linked for tonight’s Net?
